Churi Dupatta is a traditional South Asian women’s accessory worn with ethnic attire such as salwar kameez or lehenga choli. It consists of a long scarf, usually made of lightweight fabric such as chiffon or georgette, that is draped over the head and shoulders and falls gracefully behind the back. The term “Churi” refers to the bangles that women wear on their wrists, which the Dupatta’s pleats are reminiscent of. Churi Dupattas come in various colors, prints, and embroidery designs, and are often paired with matching bangles or jewelry to complete the traditional look.
